About Frank’s Tinctures
Franks Tinctures is an LLC based out of sunny Clearwater, Florida. Our mission is to help you create the finest cocktails in your own home. To this end, we offer a range of high quality, handcrafted small-batch bitters.
What Are Bitters?
Bitters are a concentrated flavor extract used to enhance or accentuate the flavors of a cocktail. Usually, only a dash or two is needed to impart the full flavor.
Bitters are created through a process known as tincturing, in which herbs and spices are soaked in a solvent (usually ethanol alcohol or glycerin).
One the desired soaking time has been reached, the finished bitters are filtered and bottled.
Who is Frank?
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Frank is a native of the Tampa Bay area.
Frank discovered a passion for cocktails after being gifted a shaker set by his brother. But it wasn’t until a second incident involving a terrible Old Fashioned that he started seriously considering what goes into a cocktail.
After performing many experiments and controlling for all other factors, Frank decided to begin making his own bitters. With a line of high-quality, custom made bitters at the ready, he could make his cocktails much more complex than before.
Frank showed his new bitters to his friends, who all loved the new drinks he could make. Eventually, someone asked to buy some bitters, which lead to the idea of starting a business making and selling his creations.
Today, Frank’s Tinctures is a fully registered LLC and is shipping bitters across the state of Florida and beyond!
